Saturday & Sunday, 21st & 22nd November, 2009

Guess who's Zanda came to visit her? :P

Alexander came down to visit for the weekend, while Josh went to go visit dad. It was great seeing Alex and catching up with his last couple of weeks. Apparently he has been going really well in his TAFE exams and managed to read all the books I have been buying him! LOL

Alex came armed with Jarrahs Chai Latte tea AND Belgium Chocolate powder. Pure indulgence.

While Alex played his xbox 360 game, I learnt about digital photography with aquariums and experimented by taking hundreds of photos of my fish. Late afternoon, when trying to decide what dinner was going to be, Alex came up with the brilliant idea of getting burgers from the local take away shop! On the way we saw a friend, Dave, watering his garden and stopped and chatted to him. Since it was so hot, Alex and I ate Paddle Pops white waiting for the burgers and then ate the burgers at the seat by the round about, watching life go on around us. On the way home we picked up another Paddle Pop each! What a yummy dinner!

In the evening we watched some classic Mummy/Zanda movies till we fell asleep.

Sunday morning started off with a breakfast of cheese and tomato croissants. Delicious! Then Alex and I went for a walk to Shellharbour Square for supplies and to find Alex a new reading book.

After our long walk in the heat, Alex treated us to Gloria Jeans. Yummo!! I loved my Creme Brulee - it was ice cold with an energising caffeine kick to boot - just what I needed :P Alex then decided upon Isobelle Carmody's 4th book of the Obernewtyn Chronicles since he was missing that book from the set. I also managed to find some Heath Ledger movies for Josh and I since we are on a Heath Ledger kick at the moment. Alex and I cheated by catching a cab home - it was just way to hot to walk.

The temperature here got up to 43 degrees Celsius (104 Fahrenheit) today!! - which is totally insane for this time of year. Needless to say we hid at home for the rest of the afternoon, watching The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. I also worked hard at keeping my fishies and cats cool. Poor things.

Before Alex left he got to say goodbye to Tash and I took some last pics of the two of them together. Alex is of course upset about Tash but understands.

Josh came home from dads with some groceries, the important things like ice cream and coco pops were in the bags :P along with tomatoes and cheese to go with our salad sandwiches for dinner. But once coco pops was mentioned, salad sandwiches didn't stand a chance LMAO

PS Tomorrow morning Josh & I have our big enrolment interviews with Illawarra Senior College! How did I get talked into enrolling again? LOL
