Had a quiet Sunday.
Woke up in the middle of the night to find one of the aquarium tanks leaking. It had only a third water left in it, so had to deal with that. From then on I didn't make it back to sleep. By 5am I couldn't stay in bed any longer, so got a jump start to the day by doing dishes and laundry.
I also managed to score a four foot fish tank for nothing, the guy even delivered it for me! How cool was that? So I spent some time cleaning it and checking it out. Tomorrow I will scrape off the silastic so Josh can reseal it for me.
Watched some more Desperate Housewives (Season 5) with the Josh while eating lots and lots of ice blocks :P
I worked out why I have been eating so much this week - at first I put it down to being upset about Tash but it has gone way beyond that. It suddenly dawned on me that it is because I increased my steriod meds this week to help a bout of arthritis flare ups. Dammit. So yeah, going back to normal dosage again...
Since Tash is constantly living under the spare bed in Josh's room now, I decided to go to him for cuddles & pats. So spent some time today lying on the floor, under that bed getting some pats and lovin' in. By the immediate purr response Tash seems happy about it too. At least this way I just don't feel like everything with him is the "work" stuff.
I spent some time surfing the blogs on this site during my middle of the night awake time... One blog I stumbled upon was talking about starting a Nighttime Journal to jot down those random thoughts, worries, or concerns that stop you falling asleep. This is a tool I have utilised in the past and am always amazed at just how effective it is - once I had written down the thing that was going around and around in my head, it was gone, put somewhere concrete for me to deal with later. Much better than it churning over and over in my head dozens of times waiting to fall asleep. And since I am having sleeping troubles alot lately, I am thinking I would definitely benefit from doing this again.
Had fun tonight with Josh. He was surfing the net and chatting with friends while I was doing dishes... anyway he had Grease Lightening song stuck in his head, so of course we listened to that and lots of other songs from Grease. It was alot of fun.
Just before 9 o'clock tonight there was a bang on the backdoor. The young boy next door had found a frog stuck on their back screen door and asked me to come rescue it. It was so adorable! Josh and I ended up walking down to the park at the end of the street to release the frog so he could be with his froggy friends :P
Isn't he gorgeous?!
be safe everyone
