It's the girls birthday today!!! Miss Peggie turns 5 and Miss Pixel turns 1!!!
So happy that Miss Pixel made it to 1! After countless health problems and brushes with death, this little girl would have put a huge dint into her 9 lives. I really hope the same holds true for cats as it has for my kids, that the older they get the more the health issues settle down. Here's to hoping!
This morning I was determined to continue being gentle with myself by having a lazy morning reading in bed. Miss Pixie spent the morning curled up next to me purring to her hearts content. I am almost finished the Kathy Lette book How to Kill Your Husband (and other handy household hints). It is hilarious! Never before have I read such a book that reveals a womens inner most thoughts and feelings regarding her hubby and children.
Then in the afternoon I was checking out Petlink classifieds and discovered a local guy giving convict cichlids away for free. So Josh and I went up there to pick them up, scored a 2 foot tank in need of repair for nothing as well, then the guy gave us a lift home, and scored himself a batch of kribensis - so everyone was happy.
After having done all that it was 7.30 - the time just disappeared on us. So after a walk up the road to procure milk it was home again to maka the dinner! (said in my best mimicking Italian voice) Then I had to find somewhere to house all these new fish and relocate some baby kribs.
Then for the cats dinner they scored their birthday tuna cake complete with candles, party hats and singing :P The tuna was a major hit! they woolfed that down faster than anything.
I fell into bed late, read another chapter of my book to unwind before sleep claimed me.
