Such a busy, busy day...
First up kicked Josh out of bed so he could finish painting the bookcase for me :P cheeky me ;) After the painting was done we went up the road to update his Bendigo bank book for Centrelink, change some coins to notes and pick up medications from the chemist.
While waiting at the chemist Joshua saw Hedy walking up the road and called into me that she was coming. I couldn't believe it when I saw her! Hedy was in a neck brace and pushing one of those shopping baskets with the seat all in one... I was so surprised. Hedy today me that a year ago she broke her neck and all the horrific things that she has been through since! I was once again astounded at what people can go manage to go through without a choice. She was told that now there is nothing else for the drs to do and she will have to wear the neck brace and cope with the pain for the rest of her life! Thankfully she has found another doctor which holds a glimmer of hope for her if she passes a bone density test. My thoughts and prayers are with her while she waits to find out.
Josh and I then dropped the medication off back home and caught a bus to The Square. Today is the day that we take the Centrelink forms in for Josh's Youth Allowance Application, armed with all the documentation they could possibly want. Turns out there was nothing else they needed!! Woohoo!! Fridays melt down looking for all the documents and updating banking details were all worth it!! :D Now we just wait to hear back from them...
Prior to going up to Centrelink I went into the optometrist to see when I could make an appointment only to find they had one available at 4.30 YaY! so Josh and I wondered around till the due time and I went to get my test. Josh picked two amazing pairs of glasses for me! He is so good that way. Me? I can never do it with the ease and finesse he does.
